Music: 10 Be Still, My Soul

Be Still, My Soul

Be Still My Soul is from Catharina Amalia Dorothea von Schlegel's 1752 hymn, 'Stille, mein Wille, dein Jesus hilft siegen', which was translated into English by Jane Borthwick in 1855, which is often sung to the tune Finlandia taken from the main theme of Jean Sibelius' 1900 tone poem.

However this is a beautiful and relfective arrangement by Thomas More Hagger (1950-2023) which was composed to fit the words perfectly.

Music: 13 A Thing of Beauty (Song)

A Thing of Beauty

Tom was impressed by his friend James Lee's accompanyment to John Keats poem A Thing of Beauty. He worked on the arrangement and created this version for 2 voices. The arrangement does justice to this masterpiece of a poem.
